Objetive:
Our goal was to create a user-friendly mobile app that addresses the specific needs of truckers on the road. Understanding our target Persona Profile was crucial in tailoring the app to meet their requirements effectively. By striking a balance between technical innovation and user-centric design, we aimed to revolutionise how truckers resolve issues during their journeys.
My tasks involved:
- Research/ Interviews with SMEs.
- Creating userflows, wireframing and creating pixel perfect designs.
- Prototyping the app in desktop and mobile screens.
- Preparing files for development and doing a redlining process.
Agile methodologies/ Technologies:
- Design Thinking & Daily Workgroups.
- Design System (based in Material UI) in Figma and React.

Profile Personas:
We meticulously defined the target Persona Profile, identifying their pain points and requirements. This allowed us to comprehensively understand their needs, enabling us to design a solution that precisely caters to their preferences.
Defining Requirements:
We streamlined feedback from LUMA and Subject Matter Experts (SME) by channeling it into a comprehensive requirements document. This document served as a central reference point, guiding our development and auditing prototypes. It also played a crucial role in crafting our testing plan, ensuring a user-friendly and impactful mobile App for truckers.
Building a Design System (in Figma and React)
All our design system is based on Material UI. This is because we decided to spend all our resources in building a good product based on an existing and tested system, instead of starting from scratch. Google’s Material Design is effectively an entire design ecosystem, rather than just a set of style guidelines. If there’s a potential design situation that exists, Material Design likely has a comprehensive set of rules for how to handle it. This guarantees not only a speed in the general timeline of the project, but also assures that almost all of our components have been previously tested by Google. Despite all this comprehensiveness and documentation, Material Design remains a fairly flexible design library.

This way, we could focus on the user experience itself and finding solutions to the user's problems and achieve our main goal.
Final Prototype
Presenting the final prototype of our mobile App for truckers! This polished design, fueled by valuable insights and user-driven requirements, offers an intuitive interface complemented by Google Material UI. With a focus on Accessibility, responsiveness, and site performance, this powerful solution revolutionizes how truckers navigate and resolve issues on their journeys. Our dedication to optimizing the user experience ensures a seamless and efficient road ahead for truckers everywhere.
